It would twist the arms of my character when applyed to my rig. One problem I ran into was that the bone roll for the arms of iPi’s armature is weird. The rig can then be either used diractly as a rig or you can just add copy rotation constraints to the bones of your existing rig which worked quite well for me. When iPi is finished tracking and cleaning up your motion you can export a rig as Blender friendly. I think you might get some better results with shorter hair.

I haven’t had the chance to capture a bald actor. The hand tracking doesn’t work very well due to the low resolution of the sensor. But when it works you get really nice movements without the character jiggeling around in 3D space. The foot tracking works quite well in most cases even though i have had problems with it. (I’m not entirely sure how many.) The results look very natural and it works really well. All other programs I’ve come across track the spine/torso as only one bone. My personal highlight was the flexible spine tracking and the foot tracking. But even with only one sensor the results were pretty good and I was able to fix all issues with partly covered limbs using the tools that come with the software. I would have liked to try it out with two Kinects but I haven’t gotten to it yet. It’s the best Kinect Motion Capturing Software that I have come across.Īs I said I was using it with a kinect sensor which worked quite well.
